“This Beautiful Disaster” by ME x Kid Lucero: I posted the new title and new cover art of the song. Sorry, GQ and Miranda Kerr.

BEAUTIFUL: With or without Miranda’s heavenly curves and Jonathan Staiz’s avante garde abstract work flanking the single art cover of Paul Kristian’s “This Beautiful Disaster”, this song is still going to give you that otherworldly vibe. The absence of cellos and choir riffs in this monster was quickly replenished with a sinister bass line and some hip-hop beats. - Linda Sanders

Who is "Charmaine"? Lamb 2 Tells Us in this LINDA SANDERS EXCLUSIVE

  • Linda Sanders: So Lamb 2, let's talk about your band's newest single, "Charmaine". I heard the song's based on a special girl in your lives. Kindly enlighten us on her identity.
  • Lamb 2: Sure, Linda. Charmaine is Lamb 1's ex-flame. I wouldn't say "girlfriend" because he doesn't really keep them long enough to be considered one. Anyway, Charmaine's case is special. She was that one girl who changed our perception of the new world we embarked on. After leaving our herd behind, we had dreams we wish we could share with them, and when we finally reached the city, we realized the "real" world was cruel. Very cruel. But she' changed all that. She made Lamb 1 realize that in life and in relationships, there is a certain dynamic you need to understand. Life isn't all black and white.
  • LS: So Charmaine was the first woman that you guys identified as "friend" when you first arrived in the city. This province, is this the one you call Escherichia?
  • L2: Yes. We have a short story book coming out. It will be about our lives as lambs and as dreamers. We have been waiting for the right opportunity to put this out. 2012 is that right time for this. Finally, the world will know our story.
  • LS: All right. Now back to Charmaine, the song; we've been given an exclusive preview of the song. It's about having this dilemma with a woman who couldn't quite make up her mind. Is this Lamb 1 and Charmaine's story?
  • L2: Yeah. He kinda wanted to capture that moment in a song. He usually just writes about other people's experiences, but now you'll get to know who Lamb 1 is. The album and the book will flesh out the guy behind the guitar. And his experience with her, as a lover, a former flame, all of this, we would touch base soon.
  • LS: As parting question, when will we be able to sit down and talk to Lamb 1 about his relationships and personal life?
  • L2: He doesn't do interviews. I dunno why. It's tons of fun! But he's that way. He'd rather write. Honestly, I'd rather talk than work. (laughs)

The TOP 10 by Linda Sanders

Hello everyone. I’m guessing you guys have no clue of who I am and why I am currently writing everything about Green Tee. Well, guess no more, because I will be in charge of your regular dose of GT madness! I’ve got the latest news, and I’ve got you covered for all the hot topics we had for the previous week. And with that, let me start of with my very first TOP 10 post!

TOP 10 Things That Happened This Week

  1. The Lambs are Back: Admit it, you’ve had a slight feeling of nostalgia hearing about them again. And who wouldn’t have? The Silent Lambs are exciting pop writers that aren’t afraid of genre-hopping and causing a stir. Their recent signing with GT will definitely up the ante and raise everyone’s A-game here in the GTR talent pool. Their new single, “Charmaine”, will see the light of day in, well, days to come.
  2. This Beautiful Disaster: Paul Kristian’s recent re-working of the avant-garde pop piece (including a title enhancement of “This”) has been met with a flurry of positive and constructive criticism. Although most gave it a thumbs-up for its erratic, mind-blowing production, some have downplayed the hype by calling out its alleged imperfections. And to that, our beloved resident producer has this exclusive quip for all of us: “This Beautiful Disaster, if made perfect, will not engage people into talking. I stand by my song.” Fair enough.
  3. Green Tee Merchandise: GTR CEO Rosh Paulo (who is just 40 billion dollars away from tying with Facebook’s Mark) is planning to release vintage items like GT shirts and Lambs merchandise to the masses. When asked of a possible Sundays of Summer collectible (and reunion?), the boss simply smiled and left that query hanging.
  4. Lady Gaga’s BTW Ball Met With Criticism: Mother Monster’s concerts in different countries weren’t exactly lauded, at least morally, by the religious sector. One representative of the local Church even called her, in the vernacular, “isang kampon ng demonyo” or words to that effect. While we are not in favor of the moralists’ hasty judgment of Gagaloo, we definitely agree that this issue yielded positive results: Finally, we are talking about morality.
  5. Wako Wako Nears Its Close: We are kidding. Of course, you don’t give a damn about this cute and cuddly wish-granter, but we are going to be biased today, because we do love us some Wako. Why? Because he isn’t as half as ugly as Kokey or as ridiculous as Iglot. At least, Wako looks every bit the merchandise-worthy muppet that ABSCBN painted him to be. Good job, guys!
  6. CJ On Trial: The Chief Justice himself finally stepped behind the podium to defend himself against the allegations of the Prosecution panel. We don’t really give a rat’s ass about politics, but this is very engaging national news that no discerning citizen should ignore. Of course, we tuned in to see who dethrones “The Dancing Queen” and “Mr. Hamburjer” from the previous high scale impeachment in the Philippines.
  7. TV5 Buys GMA7? : The fastest growing network in the Philippines is rumored to merge with Atty. Gozon’s GMA-7 in the following months (or even years) to come. There is no proof to substantiate this rumor aside from tabloid sensationalism, but if ever the merger happens, it will be the most interesting thing to happen in TV history.
  8. Thrilla in NAIA/Santiago Versus Tulfo: Cases were filed, punches and kicks thrown along, and we leave it all to the court to settle this. Media man Mon Tulfo is a tough son of a gun, but even a black belter is no match to a mob of angry, disappointed celebrities.
  9. Miriam Quiambao Versus LGBT: A former beauty queen is (still) getting flack from her allegedly ant-gay tirades on social media for the past weeks. For this, we have this to say: We love you Miriam, but homosexuality and the concept thereof is already socially acceptable. Live with it.
  10. Obama Approves Gay Marriage: Whether an honest stand or a political stand with vested interest by virtue of the all-accepting, non-judgmental image which has ushered in his presidency in the previous national election, President Obama managed to get his “Like” button clicked by the likes of Jay-Z and Lady Gaga. Mayweather, who is an all-around asshole in the eyes of many, even chimed in and joined the pro-gay marriage wagon. Let’s hope that influential people are not using the gay community to generate support for their own interests. Just saying.

And that sums up our TOP 10 this week! Tune in next week for more hot topics! this is Linda Sanders.

Lambs Announce New Single, “Charmaine”, On Twitter

EXCITED: Longtime fans of the Silent Lambs are going to be ecstatic minutes after Lamb #2 announced their new song in years. He tweeted, “It’s final.our new song is called “Charmaine” ” and has not discussed any other detail afterwards. “Charmaine” is expected to debut this week or the next, depending on Green Tee’s go signal. The Lambs will be releasing an exclusive statement regarding the song, its inspiration, and many more. Stay tuned. - Linda Sanders

Paul Kristian Welcomes Lambs, Says He Is “Pleased To Have Them Over”

“WELCOME!”: The disdain between the Silent Lambs’ lyricist/producer Lamb 2 and his former associate, Paul Kristian, is still apparent after the latter tweeted to address the former as an “asshole”. The “This Beautiful Disaster” singer said that the tweet “wasn’t meant to offend [him] because that kind of humor is something he would usually appreciate” back when they were working together under his management. Lamb 2 implied in their recent exclusive with GT that he was still not in good terms with his new colleague. “I’d like to extend my hand to him. If I’ve been a pain in the ass [to him] for the past few years, then I apologize,” Paul said. The Silent Lambs were once signed to the now-defunct management firm iampaulkristian Records and was one of the pioneers in the firm until they severed ties in 2008. - Linda Sanders

Silent Lambs: “We have been very disappointed.”

“DISAPPOINTED”
: Just hours after the huge announcement that the virtual indie-pop group known as the Silent Lambs have joined Green Tee for the release of their newest project, one of its founding members, Lamb 2, expressed gratitude to GTR’s founder, Rosh Paulo, for the opportunity provided to them to create another album. “We have been very disappointed about certain things in the past, but now we’re ready to embrace that old feeling again,” he said in one private interview. Green Tee’s promotional efforts will be in full blast over the weekend as the multi-time MySpace chart-topping duo announced that their newest single will be out for free next week, presumably on a weekday. No other details were given regarding the other songs and non-musical endeavors which the group will undertake with GTR. - Linda Sanders

EXCLUSIVE: The Silent Lambs Official Interview

  • GTR: Great news! The Silent Lambs are back, and now I have the pleasure to interview them after a lengthy hiatus from music-making. Let's start. For everyone's info, this band is made up of two members, one of them basically writes and actually produces the music, the other one just drinks and is responsible for tabloid scandals...an oh, he writes the lyrics.
  • Lamb2: I'll pretend I didn't hear that.
  • GTR: Okay, first question: why and what made you come back? And why just now?
  • Lamb1: Money (chuckles, as he sips on some Hennessey) Actually, it started as a T-shirt project. Then after looking at our album arts, Paulo decided to talk to Paul Kristian to buy the rights to our songs, which, by the way, cost nothing.
  • Lamb2: Money, because we didn't really see it coming ourselves. It just felt like it had to happen. I was done with divorce, Lamb One was done with, what, drugs? (looks at Lamb1 and chuckles). Seriously, there was a gap, but everything's fallen in place, and now we're here.
  • GTR: So it was more like, "hey, why not?"
  • Lamb1: It was more of the fans. Clearly they missed us badly and seriously we could have written
  • "Call Me Maybe" if we hadn't broke up.
  • Lamb2: Lamb One called me one night, he said Green Tee wanted to have rights to our vintage album arts. They also asked this Mao guy to do a cover album of all our songs, I don't know about that one but I know I saw it in the contract.
  • GTR: I see. So, originally, it was a tshirt talk that lead to songs. Do you know Paulo personally?
  • Lamb1: Yeah, I actually worked with one of his artists, The Calcul8n, on one of his songs.
  • GTR: Did you lend vocals or did you write for him?
  • Lamb1: I did the second verse of the song "Rising Sun." I met Paulo while I was singing at some acoustic night bar.
  • GTR: So you weren't completely out of work. Where was Lamb2 during all these?
  • Lamb1: I was like Jimmy Bondoc. He has some shows but no one knows about it. About Lamb2, I think he was the one visible during that time, especially on the tabloids.
  • GTR: Lamb2, we heard about your divorce all over the news. You were pointed at when people brought up the reason why the Lambs broke up.
  • Lamb2: That could be true. It wasn't the sole reason, but it was a major factor. I was running out of things to write about so I broke up with her. That was a joke.
  • Lamb1: Actually, that girl is a bitch.
  • Lamb2: He told you that, not me. (chuckles, and signals for their PR rep to explain this off-the-record statement later)
  • GTR: Did you guys leave Paul Kristian's old music firm because of disputes?
  • Lamb1: Um, I do know it folded the same time we left. Actually, it was Lamb2 and Paul who had beef, or more appropriately, the "lamb-chop". (PUN INTENDED)
  • Lamb2: He called me an asshole on one interview. I think we will never see eye to eye, but yeah...we hate him. I mean, I hate him.
  • Lamb1: Paul is a great guy, though. I think he's doing great as a fellow artist. I would agree to open up to him, I just don't know about this other lamb here.
  • Lamb2: All I'm saying is, making beats don't make you a "musician".
  • Lamb1: His work is actually good. I would actually sing a verse for him.
  • Lamb2: Yes, maybe in the after life.
  • GTR: Okayyy. How was negotiating with Paulo as your new boss?
  • Lamb1: He just said, " I'll give you five bucks to sing" and we said "yes."
  • Lamb2: Paulo's a great guy. He listens to his people. I don't know about the last guy we worked for. I have freebies now.
  • GTR: What were your conditions to Green Tee before you reached an agreement?
  • Lamb1: You know, shelter, food, clothing, the necessities. It's really hard when I got no job, I was literally sleeping on the streets.
  • Lamb2: Free everything.
  • GTR: So you're working on a new song. Do you have a title for it already?
  • Lamb1: "Whatcha Say, Lana Del Rey".
  • Lamb2: That might work. That wasn't a crazy idea. We had crazier ideas before, like the time we asked some guy named Diyan Meyer to play the flute for us. It was awkward after recording that song.
  • GTR: Do you have an idea as to how your new work will sound like?
  • Lamb1: It'll sound...different.
  • Lamb2: It will sound like two desperate people looking for a decent livelihood.
  • GTR: Thank you for your time. We heard the song comes out next week.
  • Lamb1: Hahahaha.
  • Lamb2: Actually, tonight.
  • Lamb1: As soon as the dogs stop barking outside.
  • Lamb2: It affects the sound.
  • GTR: The Silent Lambs are now a part of the Green Tee Family. This will definitely be good news to their loyal, longtime fans.
